Preheat skillet on medium-high heat
Chop onion
Chop bell pepper
Chop celery
Rinse & drain beans
Cut smoked sausage into 1/2-inch slices
Add sausage, onion, green pepper, celery, and minced garlic to preheated skillet
Cook, stirring frequently, for 7 minutes
Add kidney beans, chicken broth, oregano, and thyme
Bring to a boil
Reduce heat to medium
Cook 15 minutes until slightly thickened
Cook rice according to directions
Serve
