Finely chop the onion
Add the butter to a medium pot and heat over medium heat until the butter is melted
Add the onion and rice
Cook, stirring frequently until the rice and onion are lightly browned
Add the vegetables, water, and bouillon granules to the pot
Stir the mixture to combine all ingredients
Increase the temperature to medium-high
Bring the mixture to a boil
Reduce the heat to medium-low
Cover the pot
Cook for 10 minutes
Stir
Serve
