Diabetic-friendly Cranberry Sauce

As a diabetic, it’s hard enough at Thanksgiving to try to keep the carbs down. There are just so many traditional foods that I like that aren’t all that great for me. This is a diabetic-friendly cranberry sauce made from scratch. As you can see, it’s super easy. It just takes a little patience.

Easy Fruit Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Splenda
  • 1 cup No-Sugar Added Orange Juice
  • 12 ounces Fresh cranberries

Instructions

  • Over medium heat, dissolve the sugar in the orange juice
  • Stir in the cranberries
  • Cook for 10-15 minutes, stirring frequently
  • As soon as several of the cranberries have popped remove the pan from the heat
  • Transfer the cranberry sauce to a bowl
  • Cover the bowl and allow the mixture to thicken
  • If you prefer to eat this cooled, chill it in the refrigerator before serving
